Mont Saint-Michel has stood as an important religious and historic site for more than a thousand years, becoming famous for its medieval abbey, dramatic tidal setting, and unmistakable island silhouette. The headless wanderer in this design is an original supernatural figure, inspired by the long European tradition of ghostly apparitions, wandering spirits, and eerie folklore tied to isolated medieval places.
